Functional PharmD · Mindset Coach

Most pharmacists learn to read labs. I learned to read between the lines — because I had to do it for myself first.

I became the person I needed when I was exhausted, dismissed, and doing everything right.

I'm Sandy Kim, PharmD — a clinical pharmacist with 10+ years of experience and the founder of Aligned & Energized. I work with women 35–55 who are tired of being told their labs are "normal" while they feel anything but.

My Story

The moment I stopped waiting for permission to feel better

I was doing everything right. Eating well. Moving my body. Managing a full clinical career. Showing up for everyone who needed me.

And I was exhausted. Foggy. Wired but depleted. Gaining weight in ways that made no sense. I was a pharmacist — I knew how the system worked. I ordered my own labs. I looked at every value. And on paper? Everything was "normal."

But I didn't feel normal. I felt like I was slowly disappearing inside a body that had stopped cooperating.

What I eventually discovered — through years of functional training, clinical research, and my own deep personal work — is that the standard labs weren't asking the right questions. And the standard answers weren't designed for women like me: women in the metabolic shift of perimenopause, carrying invisible labor, with nervous systems that had been running on overdrive for years.

"Your body isn't broken. It's been trying to tell you something — and no one has been listening with the right ears." — Sandy Kim, PharmD

I rebuilt myself using functional lab interpretation, nervous system regulation, targeted supplementation, and the mindset work that makes the clinical piece actually stick. I went from overwhelmed and invisible to thriving — with energy I hadn't felt in a decade, clarity that finally matched my clinical mind, and a body I understood again.

And then I built a method so I could help other women do the same.

What Makes This Practice Different

I'm a health coach with clinical pharmacy training — a combination that allows me to bridge the gap between conventional medicine and holistic wellness in a way most coaches can't.

What This Means for You:

Most health coaches don't understand how medications work in the body or how they might be affecting your energy, metabolism, and hormones. I do — and I can help you have more informed, empowered conversations with your doctors about your health.

Most pharmacists won't address the nervous system depletion, identity work, or mindset patterns keeping you stuck in survival mode. I will.

This practice exists at the intersection of clinical knowledge and human transformation. Evidence-based health optimization for your body. Deep identity work for your life.

Important Note: While I have pharmacy training, I work as a health and wellness coach, not a practicing clinical pharmacist. I do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide pharmaceutical care. All medical decisions are made in partnership with your licensed healthcare providers.

Who This Is For

This practice is for high-performing women 35-55 who are:

  • Exhausted despite "doing everything right"

  • Struggling with weight resistance, hormone shifts, brain fog, or metabolic issues

  • Told by their doctor "your labs look fine" — but you KNOW something is wrong

  • High performers, healthcare professionals, executives, solo-moms, moms, who've given everything to everyone else

  • Ready to stop managing symptoms and start addressing root causes

  • Willing to partner actively in their own health journey

  • Looking for education and lifestyle support to complement their medical care

Who This Isn't For

I'm not the right fit if you're looking for:

  • Medical diagnosis or treatment (I'm a coach, not a treating clinician)

  • Someone to tell you to stop or change medications (that's between you and your doctor)

  • A quick fix or a 30-day protocol

  • Surface-level lifestyle advice without depth or individualization

This work requires your full participation and partnership with your medical team. I bring the education, the protocols, the framework, and the support. You bring the commitment. Your doctors provide medical oversight.

My Philosophy

Curiosity over judgment.
Acceptance over blame.
Care must support the caregiver.

You are wiser than any protocol. Your body has its own intelligence. My job is to help you hear it — and create the conditions for it to thrive.
